Facebook is becoming quite the tool for the long arm of the law as it’s being reported that a woman used the social networking site to catch her estranged husband doing something he shouldn’t have been doing.

The woman, Mrs. Angela Voelkert set up a fake Facebook account in late May and used a fake name saying she was 17 years old. She used a photo of a girl she found somewhere and then used the account to ‘friend’ her estranged husband David.

He then revealed intimate details of his life to the false profile and somehow he disclosed that he’d installed a listening device in his wife’s vehicle. This then led FBI agents to to arrest him on the charge of installing such a device in his wife’s car.

As it turns out, Mr. Voelkert’s job is selling and installing such devices for some police departments. He then made the mistake of disclosing to his fake friend that he was looking for someone to kill his wife like a school gang banger that he would pay $10,000 for. He hasn’t been charged with this crime yet but it depends on what the courts will decide later.
