Patrick Larrison: Officer Tackles Drunk Teenage Girl On Video
A new video has emerged that has a police officer in the seat of controversy. It shows a teenager, a 15 year old who is drunk, struggling with another girl outside what appears to be a shopping center. Passersby try to intervene and then two police officers arrive.
As the girl is walking away, one officer identified as Patrick Larrison appears to give her an order to stop and when she doesn’t he hurls himself at her knocking her into a wall with some force and then takes her down to the ground where he handcuffs her and takes her back to the squad vehicle.
Some say that Officer Larrison was too rough with the teen girl and that’s why the video has gone viral.
The girl it turns out had been kicked out of school for drinking and other behavior and her mother is apparently the other woman in the beginning of the video seen wrestling with her.
When the police show up Officer Larrison takes the teen to the ground with enough force that the police department became concerned about his use of force.
He was put on temporary relieved duty while an investigation into his handling of the problem is done.
Officer Larrison has no history in his six years on the force for using excessive force however, his supervisors question his use of force in this incident.
Why the officer tackles the girl so hard who had no signs of resistance nor threat to others is still a mystery and hopefully the true story will come out soon.
